| From Mai 15th until September 15th it’s summertime again at Lohengrin Thermal Spa. For spa visitors this means numerous price advantages and special offers. Furthermore, a range of high-class events makes a short break holiday in the hometown of Richard Wagner unforgettable. On hot summer days we recommend a visit at Lohengrin Thermal Spa’s various outdoor pools. On the lawn for sun bathing spa visitors can use beach umbrellas, sun loungers and even wicker beach chairs with hoods for free. A giant outdoor chess inspires fans of the royal game and a “barefoot path” with nine different grounds gives your feet a refreshing massage. During summertime the bathing time is extended from 3 to 4 hours and day tickets for the pool and sauna area are available at reduced prices. The all year round spa offers are complemented by four special summer-spa-packages. Spa oasis and sauna area extensively enlarged Brand new (in the extensively enlarged spa oasis) are the spa packages “Sweet Pleasure Without Regrets” (including a body treatment with chocolate), “Touch Of Asia” (including a massage with herbal-fruit stamps) and “Only Me And You” (including a champagne bath for two). On Mai 1st also the new sauna house opened its doors. Now, spa treatments and sauna can be combined. The corresponding packages “Earth and Fire” and “Light and Warmth” include the traditional “Banja” ceremony from Russia in which birch branches play an important role. If you would like to book a spa-package, just call 0049 (0)921 79240-12. For those who would like to visit the spa spontaneously, we recommend a “Last Minute Package”. It includes different spa treatments, which you don’t have to book in advance, for a good price. “Bürgerfest” from 30th of June to the 2nd of July Bayreuth has a lot to offer when it comes to culture – especially in the summer months. From June 30th till July 2nd the popular “Bürgerfest” (City Street Festival) takes place in the historical town centre. Attractions are: the “beer road” with Bayreuth’s five breweries, various stages with live music and dance for young and old. The Sunday of the “Bürgerfest” is traditionally reserved to culture and artists. Other Highlights of the summer months are the summer plays of the “Studiobühne” (theatre) from June to August, Bayreuth’s Piano Festival in July, the Summer Night Festival in the Bayreuth Hermitage on July 29th, the famous Richard Wagner Festival from July 25th to August 28th and the Young Artists’ Festival from the 3rd to the 30th of August. Until June 23rd there is an exhibition in the new town hall with the title “Die fiktive Substanz” showing pictures by Gerhard Hein and from 25th June to 15th October works by the artists “Max Beck, Otto Dix and Karl Hubbuch” are exhibited in the Museum of Arts. |
