Naantali Spa Hotel's position at the forefront of Scandinavian spa hotels will be further reinforced with the opening of its new Sunborn Princess Yacht Hotel. The new hotel entity increases Naantali Spa Hotel's accommodation capacity by 140 luxury suites.

Opening its doors in November, the Sunborn Princess yacht hotel will replace the Sunborn Yacht Hotel, which was transferred from its mooring at Naantali Spa Hotel to London. The Sunborn Princess differs from the sister ship particularly in regard to its restaurant services. Also new are the Yacht Club-style pub and a gourmet-class à la carte restaurant located on the top deck, which complements the Spa Hotel's other restaurants. The auditorium as well as conference and sauna facilities have been developed to provide the business guest with a whole new level of comfort and enjoyment.

All 140 guest suites aboard the Sunborn Princess are furnished with the very finest amenities. Each suite has climate control, a safe deposit box, a full range of television and film services as well as wireless Internet connections. The Royal Suite has its own sauna and a large private terrace. A number of the guest suites are hypoallergenic.

The new yacht hotel is the second of its kind operated by the Sunborn Yacht Hotel chain. The Yacht Hotel concept has been developed and patented by Sunborn International, which is a subsidiary of the Naantali Spa Hotel-owned Kuntoutusyhtymä-Rehab Group Oy.

The first Sunborn Yacht Hotel began serving Naantali Spa Hotel guests in 1998. The Yacht Hotel transferred from Naantali to London, opened last spring next to the ExCel Exhibition Centre and London City Airport. The Finnish yacht hotel concept has also attracted a great deal of interest elsewhere in the world.

Naantali Spa Hotel is renowned for its high-class and friendly service. Guests have an elegant sauna and pool complex, spacious gym, physical therapy centre and luxurious beauty salon at their disposal. The Spa Hotel is also continuously investing in the development of its restaurants.

In addition to services, part of the Spa Hotel's appeal lies in its ideal location right next to Naantali's Old Town and in close proximity to what has been called the world's most beautiful archipelago. Moominworld, the high point for families visiting Naantali, is only a ten-minute walk from the Spa Hotel.

Finland's former capital city, Turku, is just a 20-minute drive from Naantali. The Turku international airport and Port of Turku are also just 20 minutes away.

The location of the Spa Hotel entity in Turku is also ideal. The Ruissalo Spa Hotel is situated amidst the natural beauty of Ruissalo Island, which is only a 15-minute drive from the Turku airport and Turku's city centre. Ruissalo is especially popular with golfers, as the island boasts an 18-hole golf course. Ruissalo Island is also well-known for its thick oak forests and large bird populations.
