With the exclusive packages “Winter-Specials” we would like to give you a taste of Christmas at the Baden-Baden “Christkindelsmarkt. From November 26th until December 26th the Baden-Baden “Christkindelsmarkt” attracts daily from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. (November 26th from 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., December 24th from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.) guests from all over the world into the Christmassy decorated Baden-Baden.
Framed by the mountains of the Black Forest the traditional “Christkindelsmarkt” enchants with manifold attractions full of festive atmosphere with a unique wintry fairy tale. Accompanied by numerous woodmen, the Christ Child is expected for the grand opening on the “Sky Stage” at November 11th at 5.00 p.m. It is ceremonial welcomed by the sound of alphorns and a children’s chorus singing Christmas songs. A visual highlight is guaranteed by the emblazed grand church windows, variegated designed by school classes of Baden-Baden. A “Living Crib” fascinates the young and the young at heart.
The scent of mulled wine, gingerbread and fresh roasted chestnuts leads you to more than 100 decorated and illuminated stalls offering handcrafts, Christmas decorations and culinary delicacies at the entrance of the world-famous park and garden “Lichtentaler Alee”. During a wintry walk in crystal-clear crisp and fresh air along the art and culture mile of Baden-Baden, the “Festspielhaus”, Europe´s second-largest opera and concert hall, the world famous Casino as well as the Museum Frieder Burda, built by the renowned New York architect Richard Meier guarantee a first class cultural experience.
The “Advent Season”- package (“Adventszeit”) of the popular “Winter-Specials” gives you the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful and solemn Advent season to very attractive conditions in snowy Baden-Baden. The package includes amongst two overnights including breakfast a visit to the pleasant Caracalla Spa and the most beautiful Casino of the world with a glass of sparkling wine to welcome you. During the Advent season, starting with November 1st, as well as during the months January, February and March we would like to invite you to a very special winter’s tale in Snowy Baden-Baden with the “Fit Through Winter”- package (“Fit durch den Winter”) and the “For Gourmets”- package (“Für Genießer”) from November 1st to December 2nd, 2007 and from January 1st to March 31st, 2008.
