Each year, you have three chances to join other race-goers in experiencing the heart beating thrill of international horse racing. Three times a year, all eyes in the horse racing world are focused on Baden-Baden. The racing calendar starts with the Spring Meeting (end of May/start of June), followed by the Grand Festival Week (end of August/start of September) and rounded off by the Sales & Racing Festival (end of October).
One annual race, the ‘Großer Preis von Baden’, staged during the Grand Festival Week, has, since the year 2000, been part of the prestigious World Series Racing Championship. 13 of the world’s top horse races make up this Formula 1 of the thoroughbreds. Each year, the end of the series sees the crowning of the best horse, jockey, trainer and owner. Races are run on 4 continents, with Baden-Baden’s race being the only leg run on German soil.
